To Write or Not To Write

Whether it’s a blog post, story, an article, a book, etc. Why do you write?

First Impression

from Code & Silas Mysteries

First Impression, the time when you SOMETIMES mistakenly form an opinion of someone after just one meeting. And maybe after the second or third meeting, you may realize that the first impression didn’t reveal who that person was. Something that may lead in opposite directions/views.

Who you may have held in a bad light actually turned out to be good. Think Elizabeth of Mr. Darcy. And who you may have held in a good light turned out to be bad. Any Wickhams out there? Pride and Prejudice

Fictional characters in a book are no different. You think up a character in your head and start to make them come alive on paper. The more you write, the more who or what you wanted that character to be changes.

First impressions count, but they should be added to the second and third, or perhaps more, to total up an opinion of who someone is.
